Dave Dai is Asia-Pac Head of ESG research at Barclays. He joined Barclays’ global ESG research team in 2022 from Tian Lun Gas, one of China’s leading natural gas companies, where he was the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of ESG. Prior to that, Dave spent 13 years covering Asian new energy and utilities as a sell-side equity analyst, including seven years at Credit Suisse, as well as Daiwa Capital Markets and CLSA. At Credit Suisse, he led the utilities team to receive a Top 3 ranking for the All-Asia Institutional Investor poll consistently during 2017-2019; on the corporate side, he helped Tian Lun Gas achieve a Top 3 among ESG programs in Institutional Investor’s All-Asia Executive poll in 2021. Dave graduated from the University of Toronto in Canada and has been a CFA charterholder since 2009.
Scott Gordon is an ESG Analyst and works in the Barclays Cross-Asset ESG Research team. He started his career in the investment industry in 2014 and has most recently spent three years working within the UK government as a Senior Policy Adviser on ESG and impact investment. He has a first class M.A. (Hons.) from the University of Glasgow and an M.Sc. from the University of Bath. He joined Barclays in 2021 and is a CFA charterholder.
Charlotte Edwards is a member of the ESG Research team, based in London. She focuses on the ESG-labelled securities market and ESG strategy research which considers how investors approach ESG and the impact this is having on portfolio construction and valuations, leveraging her previous experience in the Credit Strategy Research team. Charlotte has also been instrumental in developing Barclays’ approach to integrating ESG into fundamental research across regions. Prior to joining Barclays in 2017, she spent nearly four years at HSBC, where she worked primarily in the Credit Strategy team as a European Credit and Global Green Bond strategist. Charlotte graduated with a degree in Economics from Bath University and is a CFA charter holder.
Jit Ming Tan, Managing Director, is the Head of Non-Japan Asia FICC Research at Barclays. Based in Singapore, he covers Indonesia high yield corporate credits. Prior to joining the Barclays’ graduate program in 2006, he was an auditor at Arthur Andersen and Energizer Holdings. Jit Ming is a CFA charterholder and has an MBA (Hons) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University.
