    This year marks the second year of an exciting partnership as Barclays continues as the Official Banking Partner of Wimbledon, uniting two iconic British institutions. The first Barclays bank opened +330 years ago and, as the world’s oldest tennis tournament, Wimbledon was first staged in 1877. With Wimbledon, we’re celebrating the best of tennis and creating new possibilities.

    Unreasonable Impact at Wimbledon

    Unreasonable Impact, created with Barclays, is a global movement dedicated to scaling up growth-stage entrepreneurs operating at the nexus of advanced technology, global impact, and profit. We’re collaborating with Unreasonable Impact company CLUBZERØ to bring innovative, sustainable solutions to the Wimbledon experience.

    Working with the reusable packaging company, CLUBZERØ, all of our strawberries & cream ice cream (located in The Queue Village) will be served in reusable CLUBZERØ pots, enabling a circular-economy service onsite at Wimbledon.

    Empowering young people through tennis​

    Barclays is building on its track record of supporting communities through sport by launching a new tennis-themed employability programme in partnership with Wimbledon called ‘Barclays Net Work’.

    Barclays Net Work Programme

    In 2023, Barclays and Wimbledon launched a tennis-themed employability programme in the Bronx, New York. Barclays Net Work is delivered in partnership with Good Shepherd Services to expand opportunities for children, youth and families in New York City.

    Net Work focuses on young people aged 15 to 24 who are either involved in the justice system, disengaged from school or the workforce, or under-employed. The programme will target some of the hardest-to-reach young people in New York City.

    As part of this initiative, participants enjoyed a tennis masterclass with the legendary tennis player John McEnroe, learning first-hand the value of dedication and teamwork.
